Roco’s Advanced Team Operations™ provides the opportunity to push yourself as a rescuer in both a team and individual setting. Fast paced and challenging, the scenario-based class focuses on simple-to-advanced problem solving in urban and industrial settings. It provides participants with new and more advanced techniques to implement in numerous practice scenarios that allows them to build upon their essential skills and teamwork abilities.
Rescue situations involving high angle, confined space and rescue from fall protection become increasingly more difficult as the week of training progresses. Critical thinking skills and problem solving are at the core of Roco’s Advanced Team Operations course.
For courses at the Roco Training Center (or as the training location permits), practice scenarios will be conducted in all six (6) confined space types based on OSHA criteria. More complex scenarios, including simulated IDLH atmospheres, will require the use of breathing air equipment. This course meets the minimum annual practice requirements of OSHA and NFPA.
Compliance Note: OSHA 1910.146 Permit Required Confined Space regulation requires all rescue team members to practice making permit space rescues at least once every 12 months from actual or representative confined spaces. OSHA has approved Roco’s Types Chart, which classifies these representative spaces into six (6) confined space types for rescue planning and practice purposes. NFPA 1006 requires individual rescuers to demonstrate rescue competency on an annual basis, and NFPA 1670 states that rescue teams must undergo an annual performance evaluation.
