Description
“Commonly referred to within the technical rescue industry as a “”figure eight descender,”” the CMC Steel Rescue 8 is used for rappelling and descent maneuvers in search and rescue as well as in fire rescue, police tactical operations, and industrial rope access work. Made from 12.5-mm (1/2-inch) plate, the design is high performance and compatable with today’s selection of life safety rope. The steel model performs exceptionally well in high-wear situations such as helicopter operations. Large enough to allow a safe lock off with larger diameter ropes, the CMC Rescue 8’s carabiner hole has enough room for multiple carabiners.
The steel Rescue 8 is drop forged and nickel chrome-plated.
