Courses
Certification classes have learning objectives specifically aligned with the skills defined by NFPA to achieve Technician Level competency. At the end of a certification class, students can earn their certification by demonstrating practical skills and passing a written exam. Students who pass receive a certificate that is valid for two years.
FAST-TRACK™ CONFINED SPACE TECHNICIAN
Certification to NFPA 1006 Confined Space Rescue. This Fast-Track™ course combines Roco’s Urban/Industrial Rescue Essentials™ and Confined Space Rescue Technician providing Confined Space Rescue Technician certification in only 70 hours. This accelerated course begins with core skills and concludes with certification testing to meet the job performance requirements listed in NFPA 1006 and 1670 for Confined Space Technician level. Testing to a national consensus standard, such as NFPA, is also an excellent means of documenting individual skills proficiency in accordance with OSHA 1910.146.

TRENCH RESCUE TECHNICIAN
Certification to NFPA 1006 Trench Rescue. This intense hands on 30-hour Trench Rescue course includes extensive field exercises designed to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for rescuers and rescue teams members to conduct trench rescue emergency shoring operations. This course meets competent requirements for OSHA 1926.650 as well as NFPA 1006 Chapter 11 Trench Rescue Awareness, Operations and Technician Level.

FAST-TRACK™ CONFINED SPACE AND ROPE TECHNICIAN
If you want it all, the Fast-Track™ Confined Space & Rope Technician course is Roco’s ultimate rescue experience. This 110-hour program is designed to produce a more well-rounded rescuer who is capable of safely and effectively responding to a wide variety of confined space and rope rescue incidents. The course begins with core skills and concludes with testing to the job performance requirements listed in NFPA 1006 and 1670 for both Confined Space and Rope Rescue Technician Level. This certification testing to a national consensus standard, such as NFPA, is an excellent means of documenting individual skills proficiency in accordance with OSHA 1910.146.

CONFINED SPACE RESCUE TECHNICIAN
The primary focus of this 40-hour course is to build upon the core skills already learned and provide the additional competencies needed to meet the job performance requirements listed in NFPA 1006 and 1670 (Confined Space Technician Level). Technician-level skills and team response capabilities will be enhanced by extensive hands-on learning stations and realistic problem-solving exercises including on-air, simulated IDLH scenarios.
